On my free time I love roaming around other blogs. My favorite are craft blog and I remember that I once saw a tutorial on how to make wool balls. Looked so complicated…plus I didn’t know what to use them for, besides for bracelets or garlands, until now. Who would have thunk they are awesome for the dryer!? Not me!

Wool Dryer Balls are the natural solution for softening your clothes without chemicals. Made completely from US wool, they help your clothes (and cloth diapers!) tumble dry softly, and reduce the drying time by up to half.*
Just like it always happens, they arrived in the mail at exact moment I was doing my last laundry load. I was just taking it out of the dryer! So I pondered. I decided to throw all the towels in. Who doesn’t like to snuggle up to a just clean, soft and preferably just-out-of-the-dryer towel, right!? Of course this meant Tyler showered while the towels where in the washer…oops!!
Sometimes, and depending on how many towels are in the dryer, they come out a bit damp so I dry them once more. But once I used the wool dryer balls I only had to do it once!! And it was quicker!
The balls are approximately 9” circumference (about the size of a tennis ball). I received 3 and decided to use them all and they worked wonders! No more money wasted on sheets that do not seem to do what they promise!
They won’t harm you clothes and they can safely stay in the dryer! They do come in a little basket but they’ll be safer in the dryer, at least, in my case!
