I am still searching for healthier snack alternatives. Finally, both my boys love fruit! At first it was all J. but now A. loves eating apples, grapes and strawberries and even some blueberries here and there!! J. loves them all!! So far his favorites are apples (which we won’t let him eat since he always chokes), oranges (with no skin, quite a hassle), strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and pineapples! But you can’t always carry fruit with you wherever you go, right? I mean an apple is quite portable but I doubt you go out and about with a knife in tow, I know I don’t. Here is where snack bars are wonderful!!

Just recently I discovered Pure Naturals bars who gave us the opportunity of giving them a try! And let me tell you, my family loves them!!

 

 

We received 8 different bars:  Pure Naturals which includes superfruitty nutty crunch, chocolate almond, and peanut raisin crunch; and Pure Organic, which includes wild blueberry, chocolate brownie, apple cinnamon, cranberry orange and cherry cashew.

As some of you might remember my mother in law has Celiac Disease, which means she can’t eat anything with gluten, so I am always on the look for Gluten-free goods. Well, all Pure bars are gluten-free, organic, and vegan.

But nor everything that is healthy tastes good, specially to little boys. But rest assured that little mouths will love them too!! Believe me, my boys ate two bars each as soon as they came out of the box!

 

 

A. of course went straight for the chocolate bars, he is just like mommy! And J. went for the fruity bars. I did not have the chance to eat a whole bar but I did sneak in a bite or two from each bar. My favorite was the chocolate brownie which has walnuts…it was delicious!! The cranberry orange was great as well, plus the smell!! it will make your mouth water!

 

 

Tyler ate two bars himself and he loves them!! He said we are getting more of those! Yumms!! There’s nothing better than healthy, good tasting snack bars…specailly if they have chocolate ones!
