The boys’ first email account!

Since Grandma is in Colorado and the boys miss her dearly I thought of opening their very own email account. Silly, I know. It is not like they will know any different or know what an email is or whatever. I just thought that Grandma would love the idea! And she does!

I really can’t remember when was the last time I actually opened an email account but I remember it is extremely easy. I am pretty sure that it is the same with every handle. You enter your email ID and choose a password and then confirm the password and blah blah blah…

Well, there was something that caught my eye with Ymail! As I was typing the information being asked for I entered the A.’s birthday (2008) and since he is not of age I got a notice on my screen:

{Please get mom and dad!}

Yahoo! stops the sign up whenever someone underaged tries to open an email account! Yahoo! asks for $0.50 to continue with the process. At first I thought it was extremely silly but then it hit me, underaged kids have no access to credit cards but grown ups do, right? Very clever way to prove you are 18+, huh?!

As soon as the whole process was done the boys where right on the email writing!! A. wrote a novel and kept telling on me. He told grandma about me blowing on his hair as he typed away and something about a nine four, his two favorite numbers! J. was not very into it…he prefers the mouse pad and the screen over the keyword…so his message wasn’t that long.

Grandma loved the idea and there have been a few messages exchanged!

Oh, I love technology!
