The other day our neighbor, Brian, found a frog in his yard. But it wasn’t any frog, this one gal/guy was huge! I hope s/he still is. Point is, I’ve never seen a frog that big without there being a crystal panel between us.
I honestly did not care much about it. A. thought it was cool but wanted to leave it where it was. J., Tyler and Brian, on the other hand had to play with the poor guy! It’s gotta be a boys thing, I dunno.
After a few minutes of trying to convince the frog to get out of the hole it was in (a whole where a huge wooden pole sort of stands in) Tyler finally caught it and put it in a pickle jar. Still, A. wanted nothing to do with it.
J. loved staring at it and soon tried to shake the jar. A. still wanted nothing to do with it…didn’t even touch the jar, not even once.
That’s the closest A. got to the frog. He preferred to talk about the frog rather than to look at it.
I’ve been warned that this is only the beginning. Started with frogs and who knows what it will end with. Thankfully there aren’t many cockroaches in Portland, that would seriously make me squeal!
I hope that frog likes pickles…

Too cute!
One day, we let Milo chase a frog – but then he tried to lick it and it must have had some kind of poison on it because then Milo kept trying to wipe his tongue on the carpet! Oops. He’s not allowed to chase frogs anymore.

Hahahaha, poor Milo!! I bet he learned to leave frogs alone!! This reminded me of the time my dog, Kira (RIP), decided to chase a bull!!

That’s going to be little J. pretty soon!! π And just wait for the baby to be born and get a bit older and you will have 4 little hands full of worms and frogs and rolly pollies, and God knows what else! Hehehehe

Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment. I really appreciated it. BTW, I am not a big fan of any kind of reptile either. I try to find the cuteness in animals, but I draw the line when it comes to reptiles. π

Reptiles are OK though…no slugs, snails. If it looks slimy keep it away from me!!

I was never into things like that as a kid but now as an adult I am a reptile lover! It’s good to know how to interact with them π

I don’t think I could have one as a pet…but I wouldn’t mind touching them…

Ew. I hate all that stuff too. Of course I had a boy! π
