{Denver Bound} Idaho

On day 1 of our trip we went through Oregon, Idaho and stayed the night at Utah.

On our road trip through Idaho we realized there was a vast lack of potatoes and an abundance of onions!! There were trucks full of onions going west on I-84.
Who would have thunk.

We made it to Idaho after 7 hours on the road. It wasn’t that bad of a drive. We did stop to take a nap in Oregon so we were a tad behind on our schedule.

I have a very few photos from Idaho due to the fact that I drove the truck.
Have you ever gotten to drive a 16′ moving truck full to the very top?!
That was scary at first…I was shaking and petrified and wouldn’t go above 60 mph…and I was supposed to go 65 mph.

This is a pre bug splatter photo…the windshield and windows got covered in little bugs and a few dragonflies.

This was vastly seen all over I-84.
Batches of green among yellow pasture.

Scratch got to stick his head out of the window for the very first time!!
And he LOVED IT!!
Which comes to no surprise…

Which has been the longest road trip you’ve ever taken?

You are in ugly Idaho. Come on up here to Northern Idaho if you want beautiful, lol. Beautiful mountains, abundance of lakes, an outdoor lovers paradise! And I have lived here forever and never once seen a potato farm. In fact, we eat Washington potatoes. Go figure!

The longest car trip in a single push was Shreveport, Louisiana to Santa Barbara, California. Half the trip was Texas. Another long trip was from my old home in Houston to El Paso–something like 22 hours.

BTW–Welcome to Denver, when you get here!

We are about as far north of downtown town as you are south –we are in Northglenn near 120th and I 25. I’ve just been here about 5 years from Houston. I LOVE that we have 4 real seasons here, though I do miss rain sometimes and had to learn to drive in the winter. Well, welcome, and I hope ya’ll are having a smooth time getting settled!
