Mohawk Rugs {Review/Giveaway}

  • Sharebar

I have always been into decorating and different decor styles. I have always wanted to move my room around at least once a month. I have always wanted to have a house that feels lived in and cozy. Of course this is something that takes its time, specially if your husband has the exact opposite taste in decor. I mean, Tyler is more into modern-ish, contemporary or lodge like decor. I am more of an eclectic style which, for me, requires tons of colors, crazy patterns, and tons of stuff, a little mix and match of styles, and voila!

One way to spruce a room in the blink of an eye: rugs! Mohawk Home graciously sent us a rug to review, and of course I had to go with a pretty, flowery, contemporary pattern!

{Mohawk Home 5’3″ x 7’10″ Shell San Marino Area Rug}

Tyler was not very thrilled when he first saw the rug but he soon warmed up to it. Of course he almost sold it on our garage sale which he did get in trouble for! Before we made the adventurous move to Denver we had the rug in the living room but due to the sectional’s size the rug looked off place. It would have worked better if we had separate pieces in the living room, like a loveseat and a sofa.

Then it got switched behind the couch, right between the couch and the kitchen island. This wasn’t my favorite place for the rug due to the high traffic, which was causing the corners to roll up (which is bound to happen one way or the other).

We are now in Denver and lack a sectional, or a couch. So the rug is sitting pretty in the living room waiting to revamp a couch that will be here some day soon.

The rug is easy simply pretty. It is soft to the touch with a nice, tight pile. The colors are gorgeous: pale blues, greens and yellows wrapped around beige and some bronw thrown here and there. And it is super easy to clean! Due to the last location of the rug I was able to find 3 blueberry stains! All I needed was a wet cotton rag and some elbow grease and that was it!! Only one of the stains was completely dry, the other two were still wet, but it was still easy to clean which made me fall in love with my rug once more!!

And for $128 it is well worth your money! You won’t regret it!!

Mohawk also carries entry mats, runners, kitchen rug sets, whatever type of rug your heart desires they’ve got it!!
