M&J Dog Essentials {Review/Giveaway}

Often times I forgot to really spoil Scratch. There’s days that are so packed with action and movement that we forget to take a minute and toss a ball for the boy, or play tug of war with his favorite toy.

This move has been so stressful and he feels it too. He simply sat in a corner with a very sad eyes, staring at us trying to figure it all out. Before we moved I decided to pamper him. Of course, ‘pampering’ doesn’t have the same meaning to me as it does to him. Boy knew what was going down and soon tried to avoid me to the greatest extent! Made us all crack up.

Yup, we were talking bath time!

M&J Dog Essentials, who graciously sent us their Essential Pack to review, has soon become my favorite line of shampoos for Scratch. Not only are they green but they have many holistic benefits for our pooches.

M&J’s holistic dog grooming products are designed to unite the body, mind and spirit of your dog and to heal the negative effects that our sometimes toxic environment puts upon them…now if there’s a dog that could tell this to Scratch it would be greatly appreciated!! Scratch needs to know that taking a bath now and then is not a bad thing!

Once I was able to get the boy in the bathroom he was all shaky and trie to run away plenty of times! A. helped me take his collar off and then I got this little paw up thing (1st square on top left). Yeah, great actor he is! All shaky and being all “look at me, I am all shaky and feeling so sick, have some heart!”. Pooches. He acts just like a child at times!

He does behave while I’m giving him a bath. Of course he ignores me and turns his face away from me as if saying “talk to the paw”. Boys.

OK, so as you can see by the photos, the essential pack consists of three different products: a pre-bath treatment, shampoo & conditioner, and a live-in conditioner. They are super simple to use and they’ll leave your pup’s skin and coat as lustrous as ever! Even better than taking your pup to the groomers!

(step 1) Nutrient Fusion Pre-Bath Treatment

Massage a generous amount into your dogs skin and coat while dry (before bath-time). Leave on for 5-30 min, it is OK for your dog to go play and jump around and be himself during this first step.

Conditioning and fast absorbing, this treatment helps to lift the dirt and debris from skin and coat before shampooing to make bath-time more effective.

(step 2) Purely Clean Shampoo & Conditioner

Use as much as needed and massage into coat for about 2-3 minutes (doggie heaven?), then rinse!

This gentle, all-natural dog shampoo and conditioner is PH-balanced just for dogs and will leave your best friend smelling fresh with a softer, more manageable coat. Using odor-eliminating ingredients and a blend of honeysuckle and plantain extracts, Purely Clean thoroughly washes away dirt and debris while conditioning your dog’s skin and hair. Sulfate & Paraben-Free!

(step 3 or between bath touch-ups) Show Dog Shine Leave-In Conditioner

Simply, put a small amount in your palms and rub your hands together and then over the dogs coat.

It leaves them really shiny, eliminates odor, and helps to repel insects and protect against the sun naturally, while reducing dog dandruff! You can use this every day if you like!

Make sure to visit M&J Dog Essentails since they have other products available for your pooch! The Essential Pack sells for $50 but it is well worth the money. I was not kidding when I said that the M&J products are way better than taking your dog to the groomers! They are that amazing!
