It’s snowing!

It’s only October 8 and we already got our first snow!!

We couldn’t find the snow boots or beanies and gloves but we went out for a couple of minutes just to enjoy our first snow!

A. loved it and tried to make snowballs. He still preferred to keep his hands in his pockets.

J. did not like it a lot. He said he was cold, kept his hands in his pockets and wouldn’t let me put him down!
But he wanted to tag along, and so he did.

How’s the weather in your neck of the woods?!

Snow? YUCK!! It’s going to be close to 80 and sunny here in Michigan today! However, the end of the week is suppose to be in the 50’s and rainy. I still prefer the rain over snow but I know the snow will be coming soon. I’m so not ready.

Have a GREAT day playing in the snow!

Well, coming from Oregon we are more than fed up with the rain (overcast skies for more than 300 days a year and the rest being mostly rain) we are so enjoying the snow!!

We got quite a bit of snow…what was weird is that not even 2 days ago it was around the lower 80s and today we didn’t make it all the way to 57!

Wow! We got rain here north of town, but no snow. Looks like we may have an early winter. My husband who has lived in Fort Collins and Denver for many years says that the earliest snow he has seen was in mid-September, a heavy, wet snow.

Moving up here was a big change for me–I’m from Houston, TX! I had to learn how to dress! I had never owned a pair of snow boots in my life–the boots I had were great for water, but collected snow in the waffling making them super slick. And what I used to think of as winter clothes…not up here!

Looks like this week will be more on the mid 60s, so no snow. Oh well…it is still chilly and hopefully not windy! Coming from Oregon we do not have the right clothes either! We only have stuff for Spring and Fall…Summer and Winter? Not so much!! So we’ll have to go do some shopping soon

The old joke from Houston was that we had four seasons: December, January, February and summer. I guess we didn’t have as much rain as ya’ll got in Oregon, but pretty soon you might miss rain. It’s practically a desert here in Denver and I actually do miss rain.

Tee hee, that’s funny!! I went to Houston in both December and March and the weather was perfect! March was a bit muggy…but OK. And honestly, I do miss the rain!! But it should starts snowing, for real, soon so I’ll be happy once more!

It’s beautiful! It was 97 degrees here today. We lived in Portland for 3 years, and during that time, we never had snow. It did snow twice, but both times we were vacationing in CA. Right after we moved there was some crazy snow storms.

Hehehe, the same happened to us!! So in 2008 there was a huge storm and we were there and it was awesome!! There would be people skiing in downtown Portland! But after that it snowed for a couple of times and of course we weren’t there either!! We were in Washington, but to be honest California would have been a better option! 😀
