Heavenly Acupressure Mats {Review/Giveaway}

I’ve never had acupuncture done but I’ve always wanted to. I almost did once but I was on my second semester with A. (a time to be outdoors and in touch with animals, or so did the acupuncture lady said). Tyler, on the other hand, used to have it once or twice a week for almost a year! That’s what happens when you get in a car accident…that, and massages. Though life, huh? Tee hee…

Anywho, along the way of one of my internet surfing I came across Heavenly Acupressure Mats and instantly thought Tyler would love it! So after a few emails we got the opportunity of reviewing a mat. I must say that the hubs was very pleased by this.

For over 30 years acupressure mats have been used by those suffering numerous ailments, and who wish to restore balance in their bodies. By targeting pressure points in the body, acupressure mats trigger the release of endorphins and oxytocin.

The Heavenly Acupressure Mat is:

  • 100% natural cotton cloth exterior
  • Non-toxic ABS plastic acupressure points (same type of plastic used for Legos)
  • Foam rubber cushioning
  • Size: 29 x 17 x 1 inches
  • Acupressure Points: 8,820

The Acupressure Mats help to relieve stress, insomnia, headaches, muscle tension, back and neck pain, improve blood circulation, and promote relaxation.

Tyler is the one who uses it the most. Just recently I found it under his work desk where he can rest his feet while working a full day on the computer. Whenever I get to use it I usually stand on it for a few minutes.

It takes a bit to get used to it. But once you do it is amazing! While standing up, or on any other of their basic positions, you can feel a warm and tingly sensation going up your body. After you are done, your body feels so much more relaxed and at ease. Of course, this is if you did not fall asleep, because it is known to happen!

Whenever I can, or have the extra time, I like to lay flat on my back. I have found that it is better to not wear a shirt since the spikes will be in direct contact with your skin. But of course, to each their own. Maybe you’ll feel more comfortable when using a thin shirt.

I have not used it on my lower back but my body is aching for it! It is in pain right now thanks to cramping and whatnot. Too bad they do not help relieve a sore throat or a stuffy nose…because that would be awesome.

Truly recommend the Heavenly Acupressure Mat ($29.99) to anyone who has neck pain, neck pain, or any other ache in their body! Make sure to consult your doctor and read up on who should NOT be using the Heavenly Acupressure Mats and read up on the FAQ’s.
