My Pet Peeves

pet peeve (or pet hate) is a minor annoyance that an individual identifies as particularly annoying to him or her, to a greater degree than others may find it.

We all have them. And I am pretty sure I might have one too many, but thanks to having nothing else to do, but, lets say, sleep, I’ll share with you the top pet peeves of me, myself, and I.

1. Noisy Eaters.
Drives me beyond crazy when people make sure to have everyone listen to them chomping on their food!
Gross…and when it sounds like they are squishing a banana is ever worse…
Didn’t you mother ever tell you not to play with your food?!

2. Dry milk on glasses.
Just pour a little bit of water in it, please!

3. Burping.
And I live with 3 boys who love to burp.
Plus Grandma thinks it is hilarious…while it drives me nuts!
Burping might be a good thing in another country but not in the one I live, aka, my house!

4. People not being on time.
If you say you’re going to be somewhere at a certain time, BE THERE at that time.
Or at least have to courtesy to tell me you’re going to be late or plans have changed.
Grew up always being on time…and I am planning on keeping it that way.

5. Heavy drinkers.
Sometimes I feel like smacking drunks on their heads (NCIS style!).
There are thousands of better things you could do with your time, money, and life.

6. “Ya’ll”
For some reason I can’t stand it when people say “ya’ll”, makes me want to run in the opposite direction.

7. Bad Grammar.
And ignorant people who can’t write/speak properly…
Please, if you don’t know how to use proper grammar abstain yourself from writing…and speaking.

8. When the tiolet paper roll is backwards.
The paper goes over not under.
If I see it, I switch it.

9. Being tickled.
Yes, I am ticklish.
No, I do not enjoy it.
I couldn’t care less if nobody enjoys being tickled.
Just, STOP IT!
(Or I might end up punching you in self defense)

10. Ticking Clocks.
I’ve never been able to sleep in a room with a ticking noise.
If there is a clock or watch that is ticking I will find it  no matter how low the sound is.
It will drive me insane, and then I’ll have to throw the noise maker out the window.

What are your 2 worst pet peeves?

Oooooh Noooooo! You hate people who say ya’ll! Though I’m in Denver now, I’m from Houston. I spent something like 8 years in college trying to ditch this accent. And it worked for a while–people in Texas asked me where I was from. But it’s back now. It’s not that I don’t know better, I do. Please let me stay your friend!
