We’ve been Disney Junior fans for the past 2 years. I must confess that I do not mind watching preschool geared cartoons at all!! I do not have a favorite but my boys’ is, without a doubt, Jake and the Never Land Pirates, aka Yo Ho! as A. loves to call it!

Since its launch this past February, Jake and the Never Land Pirates has soon become cable’s #1 series for boys 2-5 and it’s on track to become Disney Channel’s #1 preschool series ever!!

Jake and the Never Land pirates is a music-filled treasure hunt our pirate friends, Jake, Izzy, and Cubby, bring to us all every morning. Together they model teamwork, problem-solving, and physical activity, earning gold doubloons and they conquer every task.

The songs introduces on every episode are silly and oh so fun! J. loves the show. Don’t sit near him, touch him. And don’t even dare look at him from afar…oh, no!! You will hear it: “No! Stop! Shhhhh!” Yup, that’s my 2 year old!

A. on the other hand is more hand on. Well, I should say feet on since he loves to dance to their songs!! His favorite? “Roll up the map!” And I’ve even caught him trying to sing the song!!

Coming this December 2nd, Jake, Izzy, and Cubby will embark into a new adventure! Together they’ll bring us a Holiday episode titles “It’s Winter Never Land! / Hook On Ice“. On this episode, Jake, Izzy, and Cubby wake up to find that Peter Pan has left the crew some presents and a tree to celebrate Winter Tresure Day, and Captain Hook invites Jake and the crew on a winter treasure hunt! Now that sound like fun!

The Holiday episode will air FRIDAY, DECEMBER 2 (8.30-9am ET/PT) so make sure to turn the TV on or your DVR or Tivo!! A must see!!

And if you think this was awesome…well, guess what?! Moms ave spoken and Disney has listened!! A brand new standalone 24 hour Disney Junior channel will launch in early 2012!  Now tell me, isn’t that simply amazing!? Only problem is…I might never get the remote back, hmmm….”No! Stop! Shhhh…” might become a staple at home! Tee hee
