Heelys {Review}

I have, in multiple times, seen kids at the mall rolling on their shoes as if they were roller skates. And ever since I can remember, I have wanted to have a pair of my own so I could race these kids to the other side of the mall. Thanks to Heelys this is now a possibility, sort of. Why sort of? More on than coming up…all I can say is that it is not as easy as it looks!

Heelys are a two-in-one-shoe that will give you the time of your life!! With no wheels the Heelys look like normal sneakers, mine remind me of a black pair of Converse, which is pretty cool since I have always wanted a pair of my own. But when you put the wheels on the fun begins!

The wheels are super easy to install and you can always go back and forth between sneakers and wheels. In the box you will find a little lever and 2 pairs of wheels.

1) Locate the heel plug and anchor the lever on the edge; 2) Pop the pieces off the sole; 3) Remove all pieces and store in a safe place;
4) Take the wheels off the package and match the wheel to its correct spot (there are 2 sets, each of different size);
5) Place the wheels on their slot, make a fist and hit the wheel to fully set the axles into the sole; 6) Repeat until all wheels are installed and ENJOY!!

The removal of the wheels is super easy as well. I have not done this just yet since I am serious about mastering the Heelys Challenge!! But all you have to do is hold the shoe down with the outer edge of the shoe facing down, using both thumbs on the side of the wheel push down and out. And to finish simply put the bracket lids back on and walk this way!

Heelys used to be geared towards kids only but just recently they have created Heelys for us the big kids! Now every single member of the family can have their own set of wheels! Maybe I should get 3 more pairs and race them all at the mall. Hmm…sounds like a great idea!

Of course I had to take a random video of me attempting to use the Heelys without falling flat on my face…or slamming my butt on the ground. I must say that I have not mastered this at all!! This will take some time to master…a very long time! But I had such a blast that I really don’t care about how long it will take me!!

With Christmas sneaking up behind us remember to visit Heelys and get a pair, or two, for the special someone in your life who likes to roll!
