Summer has finally arrived at the NW, woo hoo!! Friday we decided to head to Boulevard Park and have dinner with some friends and family. The day was so pretty, with the sun setting on the horizon making the water ripples sparkle as they moved back and forth.
It was then when I remembered how much I’d love to start with street photography so I took my camera and snapped away!! I did not get a lot of shots since I was keeping an eye on the boys (didn’t want them slipping off the road and into the rocky bay shore).
These are my attempts at street photography:
Loved the way he was hugging her, I simply had to! And he was so nice, making small talk with the boys (and even Scratch).
I am not sure if they are a couple or not…but he had a guitar and was playing some tunes as she looked into the bay.
Couldn’t help my self and had to snap a few shots.
This is my favorite of the day. He was talking to a friend of his while pretending to throw a football into the water.
He reminds me of The Thinker…doesn’t it?!
It was fun. There was this weird rush to it. It might have everything to do with the prospect of getting caught (’cause nobody saw me snapping their photo)…what would I have said? “Oh, yeah, I am just snapping photos of the bee on your shoulder, sorry!”
Have you ever tried to photograph strangers?
Would you do it?
