When I was in middle school we had a cereal bowl that would change color when you poured cold milk in it. I would have never thought that the same principle would ever apply to t-shirt. That was true until I found DelSol and their amazing color-changing clothing!

But how is this possible? Well, it was all due to NASA’s concept of color changing crystals, Spectrachrome® that started it all. Del Sol’s color-changing crystals are harvested from the sunniest, most colorful places on the planet and then engineered for use on nearly 10,000 color-changing retail items.

I am not going to lie, I was a bit skeptical. I thought from the beginning that it was so not going to work.

DelSol sent my boys two shirts: Monster Mash and T-Rex. The shirts where supposed to be for each of my boys but they were too big for J who still wears a size 3T. But let me tell you, A loves his Monster Mash shirt!! What boy doesn’t like monster trucks? Now put an image of one on his shirt, double the smiles!!

And yes, the color changing crystals do work.

The change in colors is instantaneous! Just step outside onto the sun and the colors will appear. The shirt even changes colors on an overcast day, of course the change won’t be at full blast but you’ll see some colors appear.

I was not the only one surprised of it working, even A. was amazed by it!
