Recently I have been discovering tons of great books. I have finally found a genre that I truly enjoy: YA fantasy, paranormal, supernatural romance. I still love Dean Koontz and miss Odd Thomas a lot…It is just that lately I’ve come upon with some great titles and amazing authors that set my mind into an unexpected world.
THESE ARE A FEW OF MY FAVORITE BOOKS
Firelight, by Sophie Jordan.
This is the story of Jacinda, a draki who’s been marked as special at early age. She longs for freedom to make her own choices. After some turn of events she is forced to flee into the mortal world along with her mother and sister.
It is in the mortal world that he meets Will, a boy she shouldn’t fall for.
Draki? Mortal world? Yeah, Jacinda is a beautiful dragon! And you’ve guessed it, Will is a hunter.
Mythical powers and breathtaking romance ignite in this story of a girl who defies all expectations and whose love crosses an ancient divide.
I would have never thought I’d enjoy a bok about dragons but the writing was great and the story even more so! Never a dull moment and the ending is amazing!!
Firelight is the first book of the Firelight Trilogy.
Half-Blood, by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Half-Blood is a story based on Greek mythology where we have the pure bloods and the half bloods. The pures are untouchable to anyone but their own kind. Aiden is a pure blood. Alexandria, aka Alex, is a half-blood who has been on the run for the past 3 years. After some unfortunate events she is forced to go back to the Covenant where she intends to graduate and become a Sentinel.
Half-bloods shouldn’t fight with, kill, or even fall for pures. But Alex has a huge crush on Aiden, which is sort of a bad thing. It is more of a prohibited kind of bad. Pures are untouchable.
I truly love the book, LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! Well, I truly love every single word from the Covenant books. Sucks that the third book is not out yet!
Team Alex, loving Aiden, sort of liking Seth. Can’t stand most of the pures, except for Deacon, he is a cool guy.

Legend, by Marie Lu.
In this dystopian world, where the western United States is now home to the Republic, we are introduced to June, a fifteen-year-old prodigy of the Republic; and Day, the country’s most wanted criminal who is also fifteen.

This book is full of nonstop action, suspense, and romance. Together they uncover the truth of what has really brought them together and the sinister lengths their country will go to keep its secrets.
This is a book I finished last night and I love it! June and Day are great characters, I am truly fond of them. I cannot wait to see what happens next! June is brave and extremely intelligent. Day is just so. Marie Lu make the characters to be relatable, and I truly appreciate that. As I read the story I often wondered what I would have done on either June’s or Day’s shoes.
Legend is the first book in the Legend trilogy.

The Firelight series is a good read. I haven’t heard the others so I should look into it. My favorite right now is probably the Princess series by Jessica Day George.
My favorite book, at least my favorite I’ve read recently, is Mr. Peanut by Adam Ross.

I haven’t read any of these books but Half Blood has the best cover.
