Summer is here! The Pacific Northwest (the portion that is 30 minutes to the Canadian border) is late to the party! We just started hitting 80 degree weather. Better late than never, right?
What better way to enjoy the last days of summer than by having adventures in the beautiful outdoors while getting a healthy dose of vitamin D! Of course, make sure to bring your sunscreen (or coconut tan lotion if you want to cash in the sun), Adventure Hat, sunglasses, shorts, and good pair of shoes, preferable running shoes.
Yup, hats are important and nobody makes them better than Adventure Hat,where everyone with a head is a potential costumer! I am one to believe that there is a har for every head. I do. Tyler has always told me I am a hat person but there are hats that simply do not fit me.
I’ve always wanted to own a fedora. So imagine the excitement when Adventure Hat sent me my very own straw fedora! I am truly in love with my new straw hat…and I have stood in front of my mirror trying to do the tricks Neal Caffrey does on White Collar…to no avail. I have poked my eye one to many times and dropped the hat twice as many.
Adventure Hat is an online store so when the package arrived I was a bit scared that the hat might have gotten hurt or something. You can never know what USPS does to their packages. But I was reliefed to see how the hat was packaged so I had to show you all!
Adventure Hats takes great care of their packages making sure it is snuggly and safely in the middle where there is no way it will be rolling inside the box. This brought a smile to my face…and then my hat got stolen:
I can honestly say that both my boys have worn my summer hat more times that I have. But it is OK…they look cuter than I do!
I prefer to wear my fedora with my hair down and straight. Unfortunately I have to wear my eyeglasses which look like an odd man out in the whole outfit…but you’ve gotta do what you’ve gotta do, right?
I have worn my fedora with casual outfits like jeans and tshirts but there are so many ways on how to wear a fedora. I have also worn my hat inside my house just because my fedora is cool.
One of the main reasons why hats, any hat, are awesome is that they make a bad hair day look awesome. Simply hide it under a hat, accessorize as normal and go on with your day! No need for people to know that your hair beat your brush to death. If you won’t tell, I doubt the hat will.
Plus, in my opinion, hats work even better than sunglasses! No pressure on the bridge of your nose. There could, though, be some hat issues if you do not buy the correct size. You want your hat to fit snuggly but not tight. If you try on a hat and it leaves a red mark on your forehead, go a size up. A perfectly fitting hat won’t leave any marks on your skin or hair. So if your hair decided to behave and looks great that day, there will be no mark left behing once you remove the hat. Kudos!
This was my favorite look. Cute top, skinny jeans, rider boots, and my Adventure Hat fedora and I was ready to go!

I love the Fedora on you, but I look ridiculous wearing fedoras. I would actually love a cowgirl hat! The Stockman Straw is my favorite. My parents live on a real working ranch and do “round ups” twice a year. My “city” family usually goes out for the summer round up and we’re always borrowing cowboy gear. It would be fun to have my own cowgirl hat.
