Lynden Fair

Lynden Fair - Ferris Wheel

Saturday we headed out to Lynden’s Fair hoping for a nice summer day of fun with the family. Like any other gullible person in this world I followed suit to what The Weather Channel predicted for the day: high of 84 degrees…WRONG! I am still wondering why I just simply didn’t go with my gut…which begged for me to wear jeans!

Anywhoo…we went to the fair and man did we had a blast!! A. wanted to get on every single game. He didn’t even care if he was tall enough, he wanted on! But, unfortunately, the fair wanted an arm, a leg, and the back hair of a hairless frog per game! Plus J. couldn’t go by himself on most games which meant even more hairless frogs had to go without.

There were tractors, stinky cows (which A. wanted to avoid at all cost but failed, all he could do while we perused was to pinch his nose), food, games, kettle corn, and oh so many things to see!! And to prove it…I leave you guys with a photo overload!

Lynden Fair - Riding on Dad's Shoulders

Sorry for the interruption, but I so have to share a bit about these two photos! Ever since J. was a little baby he would stick his fingers inside dad’s ears and pull his nose and drum on his head…well, Saturday he decided to take it up a notch. The ear picking soon turned into eye poking, head banging, nose pinching, and air guitarring with daddy’s face! And of course he pretends to be so oblivious to what he is doing! They got so many laughs out of it…not only from us but from lots of people who thought it was hilarious! ‘Cause, come on, it is  hilarious!

Ok…lets move on…

The weather could have been better. I hope for it to be on the 80s but instead got lower 70s….oh well, weather is weather. All in all we had a blast! Hopefully we can go to the Lynden Fair next year, hopefully then the boys will be tall enough to ride the games by themselves!

Well, this was our weekend….

How was yours?
What did you and your family do?

The boys only went on 4 rides, and they loved every single one! We had fun nonetheless which made it totally worth it.

I love fairs! They are always so much fun! We missed our fair this year, and I”m sad. But next year I will plan much better. It looks like you had a fantastic time!

Our weekends was pretty quite. We did have a BBQ on Saturday though. It’s always nice to relax in the back yard and watch the two little hummingbirds chase each other. It’s also a time where my two boys talk to me about what’s going on in their teenage lives. I love creating memories with family.

Your photos look awesome! Did you change your blog design? It looks great. You mean Lyden, WA right? If so, you were so close to me here in Skagit County!

Thanks for sharing. I linked up!

Looks like a lot of fun. The picture of the Ferris wheel caught my eye. I am just starting to have fun w/ photography….not even at the novice level yet but I have seen some neat pictures w/Ferris wheels…unfortunately, no fairs or carnivals close by 🙁

    Your family is sooooo adorable!
