I love vintage and antiques, I’m a Capricorn after all. I love old things that have been worn out. There are some pieces that have the feeling of neglect, and there are some that radiate how much they meant to their former owners. Of course, I also love new things that have that antique look and feel to them. I have an eclectic taste, meaning I like a little bit of everything all mixed together. the more lived in and comfortable it feels, the better.
Lately, I’ve been really into bracelets (my collection is still quite small, but this doesn’t mean I do not window shop). While on my window shopping trips (on my computer, that is) I came upon Bevs Beadz and I fell in love with their jewelry. Every single one of their pieces are phenomenal.
Imagine the shades of the Red Rocks, encircling your wrist. Tiny seed beads, copper, stones, and chevrons. Sized to wrap your wrist five times.*
The inspiration behind Bev’s Beadz is taken from Beverly’s love for antique trade beads. Over the years, Beverly has collected leather, driftwood, clay, ostrich eggshells, prayer beads, and different stones to make her beautiful pieces. And due to the versatility of the material used, Bev’s Beadz not only offers jewelry pieces for women but for men as well.
What drew me to the Sedona bracelet is the colors and mixture of beads. Plus the “clasp” is beyond ingenious: lace the leather piece on what end to the button on the other end, pull tight, et voila!
I have worn the Sedona as a casual accessory usually worn with jeans and a cute tshirt. It is simple and subtle, yet beautiful. It just gives me a beach-y vibe, relaxing. Plus, it can also be worn as a neckalce! Tee hee
