Last night I hit the point of exhaustion. You know, that one day that you wake up tired and feel like your legs will give up under you by dinner time. That was me last night. Everything was hurting. Everything was weak, I seriously walked like an old lady whose cane was taken away. Plus, I also had a headache, and that one glass of wine I tried to drink did not help at all.

There have always been days where I contemplate quitting blogging. The days I take off are chill. But there are some other days that I get so overwhelmed by all the posts I have to write and all the photos that need to be taken and edited. Days like these make me want to quit.

I am sure we all go through these days where we wonder if it is even worth it. I have to come up with a way to keep blogging (which I love, don’t get me wrong), and still keep my sanity.

So here is where I ask for your tips and help.


How do you do it? 

How do you manage your time between work, kids, blog, and yourself? I really can’t remember the day I treated myself to anything. Coffee has become a necessity, reading is a rarity. Whenever I try to lounge on the couch I get tackled and doggy-god-piled on by two boys.

Last night was so bad, I passed out on the couch at 7:40. I slept for 11 hours, which is rare for me. I think the last time I slept this long was back in high school.

How do you organize yourself to get everything
done without losing your sanity in the process?

    I am so glad to hear that I am not the only ones. I work full time, coach my little girls soccer team, raise two kids and blog part time(full time). Some days I feel like I can not keep up and totally overwhelmed. I have never thought about quitting because I love it so much. And then I get an email from a reader thanking me and I am reminded why i do it in the first place. It brings me back to my roots. Thanks for sharing this, I needed it today.

    On days like that I have learned to take a break. Most of the time when you can’t afford a break is when you need one the most!

      I’ve thought about doing this…but my boys already wake up between 5.30-6 so that would mean I have to wake up at or before 4am…!

    We live pretty far out and both hubby and I work, so there’s not a lot of extra activities for the kids. I know kids need activities, but I think parents often go overboard and forget that sometimes being quiet and doing something constructive at home or doing chores is also a benefit to kids’ development.

    I really find it helps for me to have a written schedule. Sometimes, I’m totally on it – or even ahead. Sometimes, I’m floundering in a sea of bloggy not-so-goodness.

    And when I need a break from blogging, I take a day off. AS long as I don’t have anything due that day, it’s okay!

    I can’t imagine how YOU fit it all in! Moms amaze me. My friends mention all the stuff they do daily and I’m exhausted just listening to it! I don’t have any helpful hints for you, sorry. Just know that you WOW and fascinate ME with all that you are able to accomplish. I’m content with my calm little world though. Heehee.

    Thank you for writing this. There’s so many times when I just almost cry I’m so overwhelmed. I do love blogging but there’s not enough time to do it all. I plan on writing a post or review, then I go to my FB group and end up doing other things for hours! It’s so hard some days. I’m sorry, I wish I had some tips. I do write down what is due and when. But that’s about it.

    Oh, I have days like this! I wonder how anyone gets everything in!
    For me, I have to make a list of priorities. What is most important to get done today? And I make my own “to do” list in order of importance. Then I just start working through that list. If at the end of the day, at least the most important stuff got done, and then what’s left over goes onto the list for the next day. Yes, it’s never endings, but I can see myself making progress. So that always helps.

    And sometimes when I feel like I’m going to explode, I make sure to schedule myself some down time, be it an evening out, or an evening of no work and just sit and watch a movie or read a book, or actually take that coveted relaxing bath.
