Affordable Sweaters Fall 2012

By Friday, October 5, 2012 14 , , , , Permalink 0

Fall is here!! And with it we get lovely boots and cozy sweaters! It is also around this time of year that we always see lists full of “affordable” fashion that doesn’t fit everybody’s definition of affordable. For some spending $300 on a sweater is more than affordable; it is like spare change. But for the rest of us that $300 represents our monthly grocery bill.

To me, affordable means that my family won’t go without. I could easily spend $50 for an item that I know I will use often and not only during this season but also during years to come. If I am going to shell that amount of money I better like it that much, or else I would either not get it or find something similar in my price range.

Affordable Sweaters {Fall 2012}

My favorite piece to wear during Fall is a nice and comfy sweater. I used to lean more towards the simple knit sweater that was geared towards comfortability and not geared towards being stylish. As I grow up I have been growing into my own personal style which includes bohemian, romantic, and chic influences. I’m more of a hipster than a fashionista. You can easily find me in a comfortable pair of sneakers over high heels (which mess with my balance anyways).

A few days back I shared with you my favorite Fall Boots. Today I want to share with you all my new favorite and affordable sweaters. And by affordable sweaters I mean less than $50, being number 5, a beautiful Dorothy Perkin’s ombre sweater, the most expensive at $49.

So, if my husband is reading this *cough* I am a size M; there’s no need for the sweater to be a Christmas present, my birthday is coming soon as well! 😉 Of course, a girl could always do with more than one sweater. *cough*

    I love the fall and winter! I think fashion is so much better during these seasons and it’s easier to camouflage those extra pounds. lol Those sweaters are beautiful!

    I haven’t worn sweaters in years and I think some of these are super cute. Maybe time to rethink my strategy!

    I have to admit that I’m a little of both. My sweater should look awesome…and has to be comfy!

    Now, I definitely consider comfort over style when dressing myself. It’s just easier with two kids in tow.; especially since I’m still nursing.
