I love finding new pieces to add to my kitchen and home decor. In my attempts to be as green as possible I focus mainly on items made in the USA. This is how I came upon Emerson Creek Pottery.
Emerson Creek Pottery was created back in 1977 by Priscilla Palmer and Jim Leavitt. From here, artisans are continuing in the tradition of handmade patterns with a modern touch. Every Emerson Creek Pottery piece is made from clay made onsite, hand made, and hand painted. This is what makes every pottery item a piece of art, unique and beautiful.
I got the opportunity of reviewing an Emerson Creek Pottery piece. Their options are so many, and with 13 collections, including their signature collection Field of Iris, which has been around since day one! So imagine how hard it was to find a single and only item that was my top favorite. Took a while but I finally chose the Ceramic Posie Pitcher.
I chose the item, now the problem was the design. Do I want to go with their Iris Posie Pitcher or with the Copper Iris Pitcher? I finally decided to go with the Red Poppy Posie Pitcher. I find it amazing that they offer many designs of the same item. I have often found items that I love but that do not go with my decor so I have to pass on the. But this is not the case with any Emerson Creek Pottery piece!! You like the item, you have more than a few designs to choose from!
I haven’t decided where my posie pitcher’s home will be. I am debating on whether I should put the pitcher on my window sill, end table, night stand, mantle. But I do know for sure that I will use it to put flowers in it. Some simple yet beautiful and colorful flowers to bring some color to Washington’s overcast winters.
You can give any use to this pitcher. It can be a flower vase, a pitcher for cream for your coffee, water pitcher to keep on your night stand, you name it. This piece is as versatile as they come. And to share how awesome Emerson Creek Pottery is we are hosting a giveaway!
