Boys are easy to shop for. And by boys I mean kids, not the grown up boys, those are tough and close to impossible to shop for. But a boy can be at his happiest when playing with a car. Alright, remote controlled cars are even better than the tiny variety.
Recently we got the opportunity, from Funky Planet, of reviewing the Stunt Buggy, aka a lean mean speed machine, by MyWebRC. I wanted to give it to mister J. on his 3rd birthday but it didn’t get in the mail until a few days later…which worked wonders since his party was on the 23rd. Ah, I love it when things simply work out.
The Stunt Buggy was such a success!! And yes, the older brother was more excited about the remote controlled car than the boy intended to be happiest.
Stunt Buggy RC Car
When I was introduced to the Stunt Buggy via email I thought the car was going to be big and bulky and quite stiff. I was taken aback when I opened the box as soon as it arrived in the mail (there is only one way to find out what is in a mysterious box, right?). The Stunt Buggy is 4.5″ long and 3″ wide…so it is pretty modest in size. It actually fits just right in my hand. Not like my boys care at all. After all, it is pocket-size!
As soon as the Stunt Buggy cae out of the box the laughter and screams started. It was loud before then, it just got louder. Imagine 4 boys (5, 4, 3, and 2) in one house, yelling at a RC car! It was that loud!
One of the features I found to be unique from the Stunt Buggy, the one that sets it apart from all others, in the controller. It is simply genius! The controller is bright blue and shaped like a video game controller! Now, wouldn’t it be cool to paint it black and make it pass by an actual video game to only have the video gamer all flustered because his game is simply not working?! I can imagine peeping heads from behind a wall, giggling at the commotion!
We haven’t had a RC car before so I really don’t know what the chargers look like. What I like bout this is its size; it is small and won’t take up too much space. It does suck that it requires batteries instead of electricity. Well, it isn’t that bad…this way, with a battery powered charger, you can take your Stunt Buggy anywhere!! And can even charge it when there is no electricity.
Stunt Buggy In Action
So, the Stunt Buggy…after boring you with all the technicalities…well, this RC car is pretty cool indeed!!
As the name says, this RC car is the one for those who love to push their RC cars to the limit trying to do as many stunts as possible. For countless hours of awe and entertainment, simply put the car in a cilinder container, be it a garbage can, a flower vase, or a fishing bowl (sans fish, please) and see it defy gravity as it climbs up the wall!
Won’t believe me? Well, see it for yourself:
Even though it is not working right now…my boys love playing with the buggy! Driving it up my walls and creating chaos and traffic under my living room table!
