Bannor Toys: Wooden Cars

There is something about toy cars that just scream Boy! to me. And even though they are just a car they can still be so much for. They can be a car, a race car, a rocket, or even a plane. They are fast, slow, silly. They break down, their tires get flat, and require several pit stops and trips to the gas station…all in 5 minutes or less.

Bannor Toys: Wooden Cars

Bannor Toys 1Bannor Toys sent my boys three beautifully made wooden cars. I must confess that my boys had never had wooden cars, and even though they are all about their Hot Wheels they welcomed these beautifully made wooden cars to their fleet.

What I like the most about these wooden cars is that they let my boys’ imagination thrive. Their metal cars can fly and whatnot, but these wooden cars can be from nowadays, or how about the prehistoric era, even futuristic; they fly and roam the roads looking for trouble. A car such as these can be anything and everything because they do not have any strings attached. They are not painted a certain color, they are not intended to look a certain way. They simply are.

Bannor Toys Wooden Cars As soon as we got these wooden cars my boys warmed up to them quite fast. I honestly doubted they were going to be so happy but I guess mothers can be wrong now and then. Even though they are not the top favorite the Bannor Toys wooden cars are always being carried around the house with all the other cars.

Bannor Toys Wooden CarsIt always amazes me when my boys figure things out before I do. When I saw the cars, which came in a beautiful fabric bag, all I saw was 3 cars. But it was J., my 3 year old, who figured out what each car was.

For example, the photo above is a bus! To me it looks like the Fred Flinstones’ car, doesn’t it? Just with tires.

The cars are so beautifully made. The edges are all rounded, there is no rough patches. It is all smooth and perfect.

Bannor Toys Wooden Cars This is my favorite!! It is so cute. A simple car; but in the mind of a child it can be a race car, a family car, a SUV, or just what it is: a wooden car.

No limitations. And that is something I love. I like toys that insite imagination and creativity. There is no fun in a toy that only works for one purpose, and one alone. I would rather have my boys be able to create and imagine a world of their own, one that follows their rules (like flying cars!).

Bannor Toys Wooden Cars This guy here. Well, I am still undecided on what he looks like. Although the website says this car is a convertible, it still reminds me of an old-school fire truck.

This is J.’s favorite cars. You can say that these wooden cars are his since his brother is all about ninjas and Hot Wheels. But mister J. is more than happy to have such amazingly cool cars all for for his own.

Bannor Toys

Of course Bannor Toys has more than just wooden cars to offer. My other favorite are their wooden blocks. Simple yet full of creativity dust. With these you can build anything from bridges, castles, and towers to the Great Wall of China!

I love toys like this. It reminds me of when we were kids. We had good quality toys that lasted for years. Toys like these cars never go out of style. Love them!

These are beautifully made! And you are correct when you say imagination can fly high and wild with them! So glad your son enjoys them. I also like “no rough spots” to cause minor cuts and bruises!
