Unstitched Utilities Shoes: Next Day Low

I have always been a sneakers kind of girl. I am 5’7″ and never saw the need to add a few inches to my height. Of course this has all recently changed and now I have at least 4 or 5 high heeled shoes. Still, I lean more towards a good and comfy pair of sneakers. And a few days back I got to add a brand new pair of Unstitched Utilities shoes to my collection: a gorgeous pair red sneakers.

Unstitched Utilities

Aren’t they great?! Yeah, they do look like your every day red sneaker: red and white white laces and soles. Nothing special, right? Well, I beg to differ! They are red and have white laces…but Unstitched Utilities Shoes are way more than just a nice looking pair of sneakers.

Unstitched Utilities Shoes

What separates Unstitched Utilities Shoes from all other sneakers is the material they are made from: TYVEK®.

TYVEK® (pron.: /taɪˈvɛk/) is a brand of flashspun high-density polyethylene fibers, a synthetic material. The material is very strong; it is difficult to tear but can easily be cut with scissors or a knife. Water vapor can pass through Tyvek (highly breathable), but not liquid water, so the material lends itself to a variety of applications: envelopes, car covers, air and water intrusion barriers (housewrap) under house siding, labels, wristbands, mycology, and graphics.

Unstitched Utilities

These red sneakers are called Next Day Low, and is part of their Unpressed Collection. Thanks to being made with TYVEK® they are super lightweight, strong, eco and vegan friendly!

Not only do I love the fact that these Unstitched Utilities Shoes are both eco friendly and vegan, but I also love the texture. They look as if they were made out of bright red cardboard. I must confess that I actually thought they’d get all soggy and tear apart if they were to get wet…but I was so wrong.

They look like paper, but the material makes them strong; even Pacific WA weather strong!…which just won Unstitched Utilities even more brownie point

The sneakers are very, very comfortable. Perfect for walks with the kiddos, great for hiking with the family. And fashionable for any just-because occasion.

The only thing that I didn’t like, but really didn’t care much for, was that after the first time I wore them my white socks had red stains…but my washer took care of them, so it was no big issue, just thought I should share it.

Those are great! I love my job because I can wear sneakers and be casual. Maybe I will check these out instead of getting a new pair of Converse.
