Do you remember, back in middle school, collecting all the Soda Tabs you came across? I can still recall trying to take the tabs from the soda can twisting it back and forth: a, b, c…and whatever the letter the soda tab came off, that was the first letter of your true love’s name. Super silly. Did you guys do that too?
I used to save mine (the very few I had since I have never been a soda/pop kind of person) and I would put them in a chain, just as if they were pendants.
It has been years since then…and I think I must have thrown them all away. But now, thanks to Rose & Baume, I have a beautiful silver Soda Tabs Pendant that looks just like the real soda tab.
There are three different Soda Tabs to choose from: silver, rose, and gold. That said there are two different kinds of Soda Tabs:
- Sterling Silver .925: silver, rose, and gold $29.95
- 14kt: yellow, white gold, and gold $199.95
Since I do not have a gold or rose chain I decided to go with a Sterling Silver Soda Tabs. It is just more me. Plus, a silver soda tab pendant like this one looks more like the real deal, right!?!
I have worn the Soda Tab pendant quite a few times and have gotten quite a few compliments. The one that surprised me the most was my husband’s. See, he would usually think a pendant as silly and nostalgic as the Soda Tabs to be a teenager’s thing. But the first time he saw me wearing the Soda Tab he looked at it, smiled, and then looked me in the eye and said “That is a nice necklace. I like it.”
I love the look of it. It brings back many memories from my teenage years. I also love the detail: it looks just like a real soda tab from the front and, specially, from the back! It has the ridges and fold a real tab would have.
Now I get to keep a piece of my youth with me at all times, and that is a great thing. Makes me smile every time I choose to wear my beautiful Soda Tab.
