RUNNING FOR THE DOGS!

“The Bruiser” Memorial 5K remains committed and passionate in the quest to fight canine cancer. In 2009 we had over 100 registered runners and we raised over $8000 for the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Veterinarian Medicine.

Our goal this year to make this event just as successful as last year and we pray for sunny weather (for those of you who joined us last year, thank you again for fairing the pouring rain!) To help make the event a little more dog friendly we have added a 5K Walk with your Dog in Memory of the top fundraining Team – Team Sarge, team leader Mimi Harnish. Sarge was a dedicated loving dog who lost his fight with cancer in July of last year. Mimi made “The Bruiser” Memorial one of the most memorable events in my life and that is why I have dedicated the walk to Sarge.

We hope that you will join us whether as a runner, walker or by making a donation.

Thank you,

Race Director,
Maryjo Smith
