I am still waiting for summer to arrive. We are still dealing with overcast skies with a hint of sunshine here and there. But mostly overcast days. I am seriously looking forward to being able to wear my new Okabashi flip-flops without freezing my toes.

Out and about! On a rare sunny day I got to actually enjoy the company of my flip-flops, in pomegranate (which is another fancy word for lovely pink). I had completely forgotten what it felt like to walk around in flip-flops. After months of wearing closed shoes (sneakers, boots, etc.) it felt odd to wear something so light and comfortable.

Okabashi Flip-Flops The Okabashi flip-flops are beyond comfortable. So on I went about my day when I realized that my lower back was not bugging me anymore. Ever since I got pregnant with A. (now 5, yikes) I have had on-and-off lower back problems. Sometimes I feel just fine. Sometimes something as small as a sneeze screws with my back and the pain comes back.

Contoured for Support Little did I know that all Okabashi shoes have a contoured support which allows for your feet to align perfectly. Hence why my back stopped hurting me. Who would have thought that something so simple as the right foot support would ease my lower back pain (maybe I am just a silly one that knows nothing about foot support…).

Flip-Flops in Pomegranate Flip-Flops So far we have gathered that these show have great foot support and are very comfortable. I also would love for you all to know that their design is pretty cute! The soles are bathed in flowers, so they look very stylish perfect to wear with Swimwear for Girls on hot summer days.

Sole MassageBut that is not all, the sole of the shoes have Reflexology-inspired massage beads that massage your feet as you go about your day. Of course I never really noticed them until I got frustrated with them. To their defense it was not ther fault. See, we were at the park (one of those that has lots of bark), so I thought I had pieces of bark inside my shoes. And man do I hate it when that happens! So I took my shoes off, wiggles my toes and noticed there was nothing there. Picked up my shoe and noticed the beads…aaahh!

Okabashi  These have soon become a new favorite of mine. I still haven’t had the chance to take them with me downtown or to a bigger park because the sun has decided to neglect where we live. But I still wear them inside my house. They are comfortable, they help ease my lower back pain, and they look very cute!

I wish I could wear thongs–I just can not abide anything between my toes!! These look like a really good pair that might actually help your feet and the rest of the body as well–they are also very pretty!

I love the price they are very affordable! I spend a lot of money on flip flops because I need the support. It sounds like these have it too! I am certainly going to look into getting a pair of these.

These look comparable to Crocs. Because of feet and back issues I can’t wear regular flip flops. I love my Croc flip flops and sandals but am anxious to try a pair of these.

I know exactly what you’re saying about letting your feet breathe in flip flops after the long winter!! It feels so good! I used to wear Okabashi when i lived in Fl and they were great to deal with all the rain we got all summer. It was nice to know that I could get them wet and they would be fine. Indispensable!!
They were super comfy, too! They hugged my foot so that I didn’t have to curl my toes when walking!
