A Hunting We Went and the view was beautiful!
I don’t know how you feel about hunting but if you had asked me before I met my husband I would have stood against it. It is completely a cultural thing, at least for me. Guns are prohibited in Mexico so I never really put much thought on hunting for my family’s dinner.
Now, I am OK with it. I mean, I wouldn’t shoot a deer/elk on my own but I am thankful for the meals they’d provide given that my husband shoots it. I could still be a vegetarian, but hunting is not something I am completely against to.
Being that I am a photograph enthusiast I, of course, snapped a few photos of our surroundings on our last hunting trip with the boys.
And for those wondering, no luck. We heard a few shots but we were not lucky enough to even see a buck. I guess there is always late season, right?! And next year even!
Of course I have more photos. If you’d like to see them head on over to my Google Plus Page!
What are your thoughts on hunting?

Yay for going Sofia! My husband isn’t a hunter, so I don’t have to put on a brave face. I would go with him if he did hunt though, but I would not stand around for the field dressing part!

It was the second time I joined my husband and I haven’t seen him shoot a deer….now the day that happens it will be a completely different story.

Wow! Gorgeous! My husband isn’t a hunter, but looks like that would be a beautiful hike!

My husband, his dad, his brother and his dad’s good buddies go to my in-laws hunting cabin once a year to get their buck.
I have gone before, but I’m too soft hearted and prefer to stay home. 😉

We’re not against hunting, just don’t take the time to go hunting. I really wished my husband did so we could save on purchasing meat. lol Your photos are beautiful!

Thanks!! The valley we went to is seriously gorgeous! These photos are just a hint of what he saw.

looks like some lovely scenery!

If it’s all about food and providing, I’m totally pro. I think it gives people more respect for what they eat and the circle of life that puts food on their plate!
October 23, 2013
I agree with you. If it were a mere sport I would not condone it.
October 22, 2013
It was nice to see the beautiful photos from your trip.It seems like this would be a nice place to visit.

What a fun thing to do with your boys!
October 23, 2013
The boys loved it!! Between looking for the deer and their tracks they had such a blast!

Wow! Those pics are gorgeous! I am not a gun person, and I do not enjoy hunting. But, my husband’s family hunts, and my dad owns guns as well. I feel like their examples for responsible use of guns are good examples for my child.

My hubs loves hunting. It kind of scares me a little bit, but I am not against it.
October 22, 2013
What some beautiful pictures 🙂
I don’t like the thought of hunting at all I have to admit.
October 22, 2013
I do not hunt but as long as whatever is killed appears on your dinner table I am okay with it.
October 23, 2013
Agreed. My husband doesn’t hunt as a sport but to provide for his family. We still have meat from last year’s hunt 🙂

Beautiful pictures. My uncle use to hunt all the time but I was always afraid of something coming up out of the woods on me and I shoot the wrong thing so I never went.
October 22, 2013
Love the pictures. Not sure I’d enjoy hunting, but it’s great to be able to have a family thing you enjoy together! I do enjoy the meat though:)
October 23, 2013
Oh, I just tagged along, you know, fun family day. But I would not be able to shoot an animal myself. Oh no way!
October 22, 2013
Beautiful pictures! I won’t hunt and I have a hard time thinking of animals dying. I can understand people hunting for food though..
October 22, 2013
I’m not much for hunting–seems boring to sit and wait…unless I could play some candy crush while I wait LOL
I do like a good venison stew.
I do enjoy the photo’s you took.

What gorgeous pictures! Love the idea of providing your own meat!
October 23, 2013
So far we haven’t had any luck. Maybe we’ll have to wait for the late season. And I agree with you, it is awesome to be able to provide healthy meat for my family.
October 22, 2013
What beautiful views. I have no issue with hunting unless someone expects me to do it, then everyone would have to be vegan, lol. Everyone I know hunts, I would go just to enjoy the view!
October 23, 2013
HA, my thoughts exactly!! I could not shoot an animals my self. I’d rather we all became vegetarians.
October 22, 2013
Such beautiful views, my favorite shot was the second one.
October 22, 2013
Oh my goodness! How beautiful are the views! All of them!
October 22, 2013
Wow! Would you take a video if you catch something next time? That would be so awesome!
October 23, 2013
Of course!! We might have to wait for the late season to start (mid November) and it will probably be snowing by then. But I will definitely take a video and share!!
October 22, 2013
Looks like your family is enjoying it. Never tried hunting yet, not even holding guns too.
October 23, 2013
I have held a gun, I shot a gun, and I would still rather not have to use it but I want to know how to properly shoot one just in case. Every time I hold a gun I pray to God that there never comes the need to shoot it. Yikes!
October 23, 2013
Beautiful pictures and gorgeous views! I’m not a fan of hunting.
October 23, 2013
Though I love adventuring, I haven’t been to a hunting adventure. I love the photos especially the one with sun rays over.
October 23, 2013
Beautiful scenery! I am not a hunter but grew up in a family of hunters 😉
October 23, 2013
wow gorgeous view and how fun spending time together
October 23, 2013
I am not also against hunting, that’s how people even the old generations do to survive…as long as guns will be used properly i am not against on it….i love the photography you collected the images shown are amazing.
October 23, 2013
Oh we do not kid around guns. We know and understand the damage they can cause if misused. But we do want the boys to grow up around them and to learn that they are not toys.
October 30, 2013
Wow, hunting sounds so exciting. 😉 Great photos!
