Safe and Sound with React Mobile

By Sunday, December 15, 2013 18 , , , , Permalink 0

I have never been a fan of going outside in the dark on my own, not even to the corner stone. I get a bit paranoid and it makes me nervous and anxious, so I try to avoid being out in the dark on my own. But this is slowly changing thanks to React Mobile and their amazing safety app for Android and iPhone.

I am sure that some of you have already heard of how great an app React Mobile. To me, it will symbolize piece of mind to not only me but my loved ones as well.

Safe and Sound with React Mobile

When you download React Mobile, which by the way is a free app, you will be prompted to setup the app with all your information. This setup is a breeze and it looks like this (click images to enlarge):

Safe and Sound with Reaact Mobile Safe and Sound with Reaact MobileIt will not take you more than a minute or two, it is that simple. The contacts? You can add them from your phone’s contact book. A breeze!

Using it is even easier.

React Mobile - SOS Alert

When out and about simply open the app and click on the shield at the very sign of danger. The app will prompt you to call 911 Emergency Dispatch where you can choose between agreeing or canceling (please remember that 911 is for emergencies only, if your situation does not require immediate response, please do not call them and send an SOS to your contact list instead).

React Mobile – My thoughts

As I was testing the app out I accidentally sent an SOS to both my husband and mother-in-law. Soon after my husband got a call from my MIL wondering if everything was OK because she just got a message from my phone. Oops. So I decided to test it myself. I removed all my contacts and added only my phone number. I activated my phone, without calling 911 -I really don’t want them knocking on my door- and within seconds I received a text:

React Mobile - SOS Alert TXT Message

There it goes, it works! A simple “SOS” message will make those in your contact list alert of your situation and they’ll be on their feet looking for you or trying to figure out what is going wrong.

React Mobile is for sure staying on my iPhone until the end of time. I can now venture into the dark knowing that I will be safe and that if anything happens I can let those I love know about it.

This sounds like a fantastic app to help give you a bit of security when you are out and about. I love that it is a lot faster than having to dial in 911

Nowadays, it’s best to have something that would give us a way to reach emergency. for we can’t telly well what is going on out there.

My husband will not let me go running without this app. I was using a different one but it kept crashing. So far we have only had a couple accidental alerts sent which is not bad considering how much I use it.

It’s apps like these that make me want my dad to learn how to use a smart phone. This is a great app.

I think this is a simple but non-intrusive way for kids to help their parents keep track of them, so to speak.

For example, you have a daughter in college and she wants her freedom but still wants to feel safe. She could use this app to notify people in an emergency without giving her parents a detailed itinerary.
