After a year and a half of futile search we finally moved into our favorite neighborhood! Well, it is more like my favorite but I can honestly say my husband likes it too. We have finally found a house that truly works for us. This place is huge! The yard, oh my, we finally have a yard.
And we love it!
There is no more creepy old guys looming outside our window. It was 2 years of being watched and being followed. Hard to complain to the HOA board when your next door neighbor is not only the one looking into your windows but is also said board’s director.
Have I ever mentioned how much I hate HOAs?
Well, HOAs are high up in my hate list, right next to missing socks.
But thankfully all that is far, far in the past.
Our new neighborhood is beautiful. Our next door neighbors are great (they even baked us banana blondies as a welcoming). Even though there aren’t a lot of kids there is so much fun to be had here. Our road is quite and we can ride our bikes, the boys prefer their scooters. Walks are tough on little legs since we are up a hill. And pushing anything between 35 to 50 pounds on a stroller, while going up hill, is not much of a fun ride (for me at least).
We also have a different kind of neighbors: deer.
We finally have a place we can call home. A place were we can go about our lives without being watched or criticized. We are at peace. We eat on our deck. We let the boys play outside all day.
Plus the sunsets here (not fully visible from our house) turn the skies the most amazing shades of pinks and purples.
