Be Prepared for Emergencies with Easy Care First Aid Kit

Giveaway is sponsored by TenderCorp. I received the products below, free of charge, to facilitate this review.

This summer has been full of first. First time camping with the boys. First time camping with Grandma, aunties, and cousins. First real job (for me). It has been fun and hectic with a few cuts and bruises strewn in to spice it all up. How fun would a Summer be without some minor scratches?!

We took the boys camping to Diablo Lake (simply the most gorgeous campsite). I was put in charge of packing for our weekend. The very first item of choice? Our First Aid Kit which, sadly to say, is poorly stocked for a weekend of camping in the wilderness. I had bandages, pain killers, kids Tylenol, and a few other miscellaneous. But if something major would had happened I wouldn’t have been 100% prepared for it.

Minor scratches, yes. Major cuts? Not so much.

I wasn’t fully prepared but thankfully nothing happened. Phew…

Is Your Family Prepared for Emergencies?

As a mother I tend to be a little bit paranoid. Will a stranger approach my kids at the park? What if they fall off their scooters and hurt themselves? Do I have what I need to take care of their cuts and bruises? What if

Moms are prone to over exaggerating everything. But I see this is a safe mechanism. We automatically think the worst so when we finally figure out what has happened it just doesn’t look as bad compared to our first fears. We can now deal with it.

Easy Care First Aid Kit - Bag and Packs

Thanks to Easy Care’s First Aid Kit I am not that paranoid anymore. I still am, just 10% less.

Be Prepared for Emergencies with Easy Care First Aid Kit

I was approached with the opportunity of reviewing the Easy Care First Aid Kit the same day we were to leave to Diablo Lake for our second camping trip. Of course, after venturing into the wild (where there’s no cell service in a  5-10 mile radius) I couldn’t turn it down.

Easy Care First Aid Kit Easy Care First Aid Kit - Injury Specific Puches

What comes to mind when you think of a first aid kit? I picture an over-stuffed, non-matching, mostly lacking of bare necessities kit that has been used a lot and is missing the basics.

The Easy Care Kit‘s organization system blew my mind. All the supplies are packed into injury-specific pouches. Top that! There is no more need to sift through your first aid kit’s contents with a wailing child on your hip and dropping half the items on the floor.

You have a scratched knee? Clean the cut, open the Bleeding, Wounds & Burns pouch and get one of the Easy Access Bandages, apply where needed. DONE! Simple as that!

Other must-haves for your First Aid Kit

Of course there are other needs that need to be met in an emergency.

Other items you should add to your kit:

Easy Care First Aid Kit - After Bite

I am a lucky one; mosquitoes hate my blood! One bite is all I would get while others get eaten alive. From the very few bites I’ve received in my life I know just how uncomfortable mosquito bites are. Whenever my boys get a bite they let me know just how awful it feels. After Bite offers instant relief! No more scratching and then hoping you hadn’t scratched.

Make sure to add After Bite to your first aid kit, specially if you are going camping!
Easy Care First Aid Kit - Easy Access BandagesAnother great addition? Easy Access Bandages. If you are like me, you use adhesive bandages more than your kids do. I am prone to almost chopping off my thumb while cutting vegetables (did it twice in one day, one slice on each side). I can often be found wearing 2-3 bandages at a time.

Regular adhesive bandages require 2 hands to open and apply. In my case I have a bleeding finger on one hand while trying to open the bandage without attaching it to itself. These Easy Access Bandages have been my salvation: simply grip, pull, and stick. They are so easy to apply that your kids can do it themselves.

Definitely another great addition.

I love how you can just pull them out and put them on!! I always lose the little pieces and then the dumb thing gets stuck to itself – this would make it so much easier!
