Raisels {Review}

My boys like candy like it is no one’s business. They love it…even more than chocolate chip cookies, which is crazy, right?! But we all know how bad candy can be to your teeth so I have been on the look for healthy snacks that won’t be bland or boring. Thankfully I was given the opportunity of reviewing the brand new Raisels!

Raisels are the first 100% real fruit snack that actually taste like candy! Reason #1 my boys love them!! Which means Raisels gets extra brownie points! YEI!

Raisels come in 4 different flavours: Sour Apple, Sour Orange, Sour Lemon and Sour Peach.

A. loves the Sour Lemon while J. loves the Sour Apple…and I loved the Sour Peach! But I really did not eat many of them, maybe 4 or 5, I wanted to leave them to the boys. And Ty, we can’t forget daddy, he tried a Sour Apple Raisel and he looked at me and said, “Wow! These are good!”

So…let me share with you why we like Raisels so much! For starters, Raisels are made with golden raisins which are rich in antioxidants, fat free, cholesterol free, and contain no sodium or high fructose corn syrup or artificial  sweeteners. Plus, they have the 100% recommended daily allowance for Vitamin C! So one little tiny box of Raisels will do so much for your kids!

There might be some moms out there who are very particular about their kid’s sugar intake. Raisels contain 21 grams of natural sugar per 35 gram serving. The raisins are sprinkled with sugar which is a small price to pay for making Raisels a healthy snack. I honestly do not mind that extra sprinkled sugar! Whatever it takes for my little boys to eat healthier! there are 5X more added sugar in a serving of sweetened cranberries than Raisles! Raisels 23 grams compare favorably to a 6 oz of Yoplait original strawberry yogurt (26 grams), you do the math!

I am truly grateful to Raisels for giving my family such an awesome snack which they love (A.’s jaw drops as soon as he sees a Raisels box!) and for giving me a few peaceful moments full of silence…and also for this:
