Coffee is our drink of choice in the morning. Late at night, after the dinner, it is tea time!! Tyler drinks more tea than I do…but I do drink some tea. Actually, as I type, I am drinking Earl Grey Tea. One sugar. One lemon squeeze. From the bottle.
We used to make tea the old fashioned way, water boiling on the stove, tea bag in the cup. But now we used our new tea maker, courtesy of Takeya!

With the Takeya Tea Maker, which comes with a super cute jacket to keep it warm, you can not only make tea from a tea bag but also loose-leaf tea and even those flowering teas…which, if I may say so, look so awesome!! I am so going to have to give one a try!! Just make it citrusy, non sweet.
It is pretty easy to use. Very straight forward:
Place your choice of tea into the tea infuser which is attached to a removable, rotating lid. Pour hot water into the Tea Maker pitcher and the lid with the tea infuser is screwed into place. Tea is then brewed in full view (looks pretty cool, I guess I get easily amused), making it easy to gauge the strength of the tea. The pitcher is made from AcraGlass™ which not only is BPA free but it offers glass-like clarity that doesn’t stain or retain odors and is dishwasher safe. Tea stays hot longer with an insulating jacket that zips around the jacket.
What I like the most of the Takeya Tea Maker is its design. I love how simple yet elegant it looks. Love the shade of green. Love it! I am all about bright vibrant colors. I would have liked to have more color options, but I might have still gone with the green!
Tyler really liked the tea maker as well. After I took photos of the tea maker we headed over to his mom’s house to have dinner (it is lovely having family around) so he decided to take the tea maker. His side of the family is compounded of tea junkies! Hehehe, still, it was Tyler the one who got me into coffee.
He had to show it off so he called everyone into the kitchen and started preparing some tea. And it was a hit! It is nice being able to see the water being infused with the tea. Like a gradient. Beautiful. If only I knew how to make animations on Photoshop I could totally show you!
Just one little thing…HUGE WARNING! Do not, seriously, do NOT put the tea maker upside down to try to figure out if the air tight lid works. It does work, you just don’t really want to turn it on its head!! Tyler got burned! It was quite amusing…curious he is!
So you’ve been warned. But you are so going to love it if you are a tea lover! Or maybe you know someone who lives on tea!
