Piggy Paint {Review/Giveaway}

I used to bite my nails. At times I’d go beyond my nails and I’d bite my fingers. It was awful. Every time I got anxious or stressed I would bite my fingers. My nails used to be almost gone. I remember one day in middle school, while on mid terms, I was so stressed I bit my nail off and one of my friends saw it and asked me “what happened to your finger, an earthquake”. All I could do was hide it in shame.

But this did not make me stop the bad habit. I stopped thanks to Tyler. He saw my nails and I felt to embarrassed and ashamed that I decided to quit. Since then I keep my nails short. I can’t stand seeing under my nails. Just last summer my sister introduced me to nail polish. When growing up I never thought about it. All I could hear from my parents is stop bitting your nails instead of giving some guidance. They never asked about it, just demanded me to stop.

Since last summer I have been using nail polish. I love it! I can’t see under my nails and finally my hands look girly! One thing I hate about nail polish is the smell. It is so gross that whenever I paint my nails I have to go hide in the bathroom or doit all by myself after the boys go to sleep.

Just a few days back I learned about Piggy Paint. And yeah, its focus is on little girls but I had to give them a try!! I was given the opportunity of reviewing two of their nail polishes from their Project Earth. I received the Groovy Grape and the LOL…purple and pink! I instantly painted my nails and loved the colors which are brighter than the images on the Piggy Paint website. I alternated colors, I’ve always wanted to do that! And it looked so cool! And there was no smell! 😀

The first time I painted my nails I did not read the instructions on the website, oops. This meant that after I took a shower most of the nail polish was gone. Yikes. But now I know that I should let the polish air dry for 60 seconds and then used the blow dryer for 1 minute (set on warm/low) for maximum chip resistance. Now I know what to do next time!
