About MeAbout Me
Hello and welcome. My name is Sofia and this is where I blog. From PDX with Love was born 54 months ago as a hobby and way to tap into my creative skills. Thankfully, even after an 8 month long hiatus, my blog is growing at a rapid pace. I am hoping that 2013 will be a major year for us!

About Me

I am a wife. Married my amazing husband, Tyler, back in April 2007. Even through its ups and downs I have never been happier in my life. My husband is beyond amazing and more than I feel I deserve. I guess I am one lucky gal!

I am a mother. A. and J. are my two boys who drive me up the wall, know how to push my buttons, scream as loud as can be, pretend to talk like a whale (thanks Nemo), whose favorite sport is jumping on beds; who give me the biggest kisses in the world as well as super bear hugs. Sloppy kisses are their favorite (not received but given). Wrestling, fights, and punches are a favorite game. I am usually carrying at least 4 bruises at a time (not necessarily from little boys jumping on me or using me as a landing platform but also due to my darn furniture, ow!).

I am a blogger. I do not call myself a mom blogger. Yeah, I am a mom and I have kids and sometimes talk about how awesome their curly hair looks, but this blog is way more than that. From PDX with Love is my escape, my hobby. I like to use this blog to talk about anything that comes to mind that is personal to me. For example I recently discovered this awesome place to get curious funny socks, and I have been getting a few for myself and I’m loving them. Tcgsocks pride themselves in their finely stitched, thick combed cotton, polyester and spandex fabric, striving to bring you a comfortable laugh. I highly recommend them!

I am a pretend cook. Even though I have never cooked a single thing until I met Tyler, I now love to cook! I have learned quite a few tricks and recipes my family loves, as well as lost a few pans duw to getting distracted…I might have burned a pot or two when boiling water, or not.

I am an aspiring photographer. I used to hate photography thanks to a college teacher who was extremely tough on me. But ever since I got my lovely Nikon D40 (the best Christmas present ever) I have come to terms with is and I am now completely in love with it. Often times people make fun of me when I am not carrying my camera with me! I don’t really know all the tricks and terms but I am hoping to soon open my very own product photography company. Fingers crossed!

There is way more to know about me. Lets connect and get to know each other better!

I found your blog on Mom Bloggers Club

I live just south of you between Milwaukie and Oregon City. I am a mom and I LOVE the list above.

Similarities between us (besides where we live):

    1) I changed my name too, but in High School

    2) I love coffee and chocolate (both separately and together) and I also get migraines.

    3) I also clean when I’m mad

    4) I’m not sure where “Back Home” is, but I’m from Texas and I miss the storms there too. I hate the weather here.

    5) I also love being a wife and mom (I have 4 kids, 3 at home)

    6) I have also never done drugs. Plus I’m allergic to pot..I get violently ill just by smelling it.

    7) I also speak my mind. I’m pretty opinionated, but I’m working on it.

    8) I also like to eat. I’m not a big KFC fan unless we’re talking popcorn chicken, but I love me some Burger King

    9) I also do not like drinking water. Bring on the Diet Dr. Pepper

Anyway, I’m following your blog. I invite you to do the same.

    Happy New Year!

Hi Lori!! I love rainy days!! I’ve been to Houston twice (to visit my parents) and I don’t like their weather!! Too humid…makes my hair frizz making me look like a fancy poodle…not a good look!! And I am from Guadalajara, aka Mexico! 😉 Miss our serious thunder storms and storms….

I am still working on my water intake…not doing so well. On my way to your blog 😉

As a freelance web-designer/developer/blogger I like to think I have a pretty good eye for design. I have to say yours is delightful and VERY well designed! Kudos to your designer! Very clean lines and it draws the eyes right where it should without distracting from the content. Hope we get to know each other soon in the blogging world as I’m just getting my feet wet myself!
