Hello and welcome. My name is Sofia and this is where I blog. From PDX with Love was born 54 months ago as a hobby and way to tap into my creative skills. Thankfully, even after an 8 month long hiatus, my blog is growing at a rapid pace. I am hoping that 2013 will be a major year for us!
I am a wife. Married my amazing husband, Tyler, back in April 2007. Even through its ups and downs I have never been happier in my life. My husband is beyond amazing and more than I feel I deserve. I guess I am one lucky gal!
I am a mother. A. and J. are my two boys who drive me up the wall, know how to push my buttons, scream as loud as can be, pretend to talk like a whale (thanks Nemo), whose favorite sport is jumping on beds; who give me the biggest kisses in the world as well as super bear hugs. Sloppy kisses are their favorite (not received but given). Wrestling, fights, and punches are a favorite game. I am usually carrying at least 4 bruises at a time (not necessarily from little boys jumping on me or using me as a landing platform but also due to my darn furniture, ow!).
I am a blogger. I do not call myself a mom blogger. Yeah, I am a mom and I have kids and sometimes talk about how awesome their curly hair looks, but this blog is way more than that. From PDX with Love is my escape, my hobby. I like to use this blog to talk about anything that comes to mind that is personal to me. For example I recently discovered this awesome place to get curious funny socks, and I have been getting a few for myself and I’m loving them. Tcgsocks pride themselves in their finely stitched, thick combed cotton, polyester and spandex fabric, striving to bring you a comfortable laugh. I highly recommend them!
I am a pretend cook. Even though I have never cooked a single thing until I met Tyler, I now love to cook! I have learned quite a few tricks and recipes my family loves, as well as lost a few pans duw to getting distracted…I might have burned a pot or two when boiling water, or not.
I am an aspiring photographer. I used to hate photography thanks to a college teacher who was extremely tough on me. But ever since I got my lovely Nikon D40 (the best Christmas present ever) I have come to terms with is and I am now completely in love with it. Often times people make fun of me when I am not carrying my camera with me! I don’t really know all the tricks and terms but I am hoping to soon open my very own product photography company. Fingers crossed!
There is way more to know about me. Lets connect and get to know each other better!
