The Natural Dentist {Review/Giveaway}

We all know that washing your teeth at least twice a day is of upmost importance, specially for little people’s teeth. It is commonly known that, for some odd reason, our teeth can cause heart problems (yup, bad teeth will cause heart issues). I must say I am not the best when it comes to oral hygiene. I brush my teeth once a day and never floss. Never had, OK maybe a few times? But I still have not had anything done to my teeth (except for having to wear a retainer for a year). I guess I am lucky, or it could be due to my distaste of chewy candy and caramel. This does not mean my boys have strong teeth like mine. I still have to take the best care of my boys’ teeth. since not doing so can harm their adult teeth. Lucky for me, both my boys love to brush their teeth!! They like it so much that you can find them walking around the house brushing their teeth! We used to use the popular brand of toothpaste for kids but we soon switched to The Natural Dentist line of toothpaste and I must say we all love it!

The Natural Dentist sent us a great pack full of oral care goodies, toothpaste and mouth wash to help us take care of our teeth! This is what we got:

TOOTHPASTE

  • Sensitivity. I have always had sensitive teeth. Eating a popsicle will hurt my upper teeth and I’ll make silly faces as if I had just eaten something sour. Thanks to this toothpaste my teeth feel so much better! I can bite into a popsicle with barely any pain. I guess I have to keep brushing my teeth with the sensitivity toothpaste so they don’t go back to their old selves.

Contains fluoride to strengthen teeth and prevent cavities.*

  • Whitening. I love this toothpaste! Without using any bleach it helps you whiten your teeth. At first I was not so into the flavor since it is not as minty as strong as the other brands have. But I got to like it the more I used it. I have noticed that my teeth hurt way less than they used to (I alternate days between the sensitivity and the whitening toothpastes). I have noticed a change in shade on my teeth. They are not as white as when I used the whitening strips (which cause my gums to get sensitive) but there has been a change. My teeth look whiter and they might look even whiter if I would just stop drinking coffee!! Oh well, coffee wins!

Contains no peroxide or other harsh chemicals; and like all Natural Dentist toothpastes, does not use SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate).*

  • Kid’s Cavity Zapper. It comes in two flavors: Berry Blast and Groovy Grape. And the boys love, love, LOVE them!! They each have their very own toothpaste now! A. always brushes his teeth with the Berry Blast and would brush his teeth 3 times in a row if you let him! J., on the other hand, prefers to use the Groovy Grape.

An all-natural gel-like formulation delivers cavity zapping fluoride every time they brush.  No artificial dyes, sweeteners, or preservatives.*

MOUTHWASH

  • Healthy White Pre-Wash. I don’t use it 100% of the time (like when I am running late) but it is awesome for pre-brushing with the whitening toothpaste. It is a great combo and works great (again, insert the fact that I like my morning coffee). I do not like the taste at all. It is a bit bitter and odd, but nothing too bad, it is just different (and natural). The taste is well worth the results!

Healthy White Pre-Brush Rinse uses a gentle non-abrasive bamboo silica to get your teeth whiter.*

  • Healthy Gums. I have never had irritated gums, except that one time I used the whitening strips for two weeks, they got sore, but besides that I must say that my gums are pretty healthy. This doesn’t mean that I can’t take precautions and this is what the Healthy Gums from The Natural Dentist does to me. The flavor is way better than the whitening pre-wash. This rinse comes in Peppermint Twist (the one I tried) and Orange Zest.

Healthy Gums has been subjected to numerous clinical studies and is considered effective treatment for serious conditions by periodontists and dentists.*

  • Cavity Zapper Fluoride Rinse. This mouth rinse was made specially for kids. We have never used it since it is a mouth rinse for kids 6 and up and my boys are still little. But I must say that I love the idea of a fluoride rinse that will help make my boys’ teeth stronger and cavity free.

ADA-accepted and recommended for children 6 years old and up.*

I must say that I love The Naturak Dentist. Their prices range from $6-$7.50, well worth the price. IF you are looking for a natural alternative to toothpaste and mouth rinses The Natural Dentist is the way to go.

Oransi Fridge Air Purifier {Review/Giveaway}

I love food and with time I get to love cooking more and more. Of course, all this cooking leads to leftovers which we often forget we have in the fridge which then leads to a stinky fridge! Not good.

My mom used to keep a small box of baking soda in her fridge. I planned on doing the same but I can remember the mess left behind after the box would tip over due to an over stuffed fridge. Thankfully there’s a better way to keep your fridge stink free with the Oransi Fridge Air Purifier!

When I got the Ionic Air Purifier for my fridge I thought it was going to be quite big, but I was wrong!! Makes sense, I mean, who’d want to use an air purifier that takes a lot of space, right?! The Oransi air purifier measures 4” x 2.8” x 2.5” and weights 0.2 lbs, there is not way it will take any space at all!!

The very day I decided to give the fridge air purifier a new home I noticed that my fridge was a bit smelly, nothing bad, though. I put 2 AA batteries and found a corner for it to go. I went on with my day and that night while preparing dinner I noticed that the smell was gone!

But it does more than get rid of smells, the Oransi Fridge Air Purifier also:

  • Kills Bacteria
  • Reduces food spoilage
  • Prevents mildew
  • Sterilizes fridge every two hours
  • Neutralizes stale and foul odors with fresh air

So there will be no baking soda in my fridge now that I have my very own super tiny fridge air purifier!! Now all it needs is a little pizzaz! How about I decoupage it? Oh the possibilities!!

SavvyCents {Review/Giveaway}

I have tried to join the couponing world to no avail. To start with I have no clue where to find the coupons that I need. I often find those of things I never buy so I pass them on, or thrown them away, mostly throw them away. But I do want to learn how to use them and where to find them.

I have found a couple I wanted to use but had no place to store them. Well, I put them inside an envelope that was soon after got tossed into the trash can and by the time I realized this they were all covered in bacon grease….I doubt Safeway or King Soopers would take them that way!

Just recently I got the chance to review the infamous SavvyCents budgeting wallet and I must confess that I am not the only one to love it! Yup, I gave it to my mother in law who is more coupon savvy!

Her eyes lit the moment I showed her the gorgeous red wallet and explained what it was for!! I remember going once to get groceries and the tons of coupons she, as I once did, had stored in a white envelope.

The SavvyCents wallet fits it all. It has compartments for your credit cards, reward cards, cash, and, most important, your coupons. There is no more need of digging through your bag to find the envelope that carries that one coupon you need at the pet store. With SavvyCents you can keep all your saving necessities organized. And nobody will even know that it is your coupon envelope thanks to the SavvyCents fashionable design!

My favorite perk is that the wallet has 5 different compartments with little tabs on top that will help you organize your coupons in categories: groceries, restaurants, clothing, entertainment, miscellaneous, personal, gas, gifts. But you are also given the opportunity of chsosing your own categories thanks to the extra blank labels included in the wallet!

There is no more need to carry envelopes or ziploc bags or even those huge binders now that there is the SavvyCents wallet! Best wallet for budgeting, hands down! For only, well worth, $28 you can have your savings organized in one place! Now tell me, how do you like that, huh?!

Rocking the Babiators {Review/Giveaway}

One of the big differences between Oregon and Colorado is the sun. I kid you not!! People on the northwest lack vitamin D thanks to the vast overcast skies…in Colorado, I think we get more than we need!! It is always sunny out there even when it is freezing cold outside.

This constant exposure to the sun requires extra protection of the skin and eyes, not only for adult but for kids as well (and maybe even for pets, but Scratch refuses to wear glasses). After much research for kids glasses for my boys I came upon Babiators.

It is super important to protect little eyes from sun damage since they have fewer natural protection against UV exposure. Babiators’ lenses offer 100% protection from UVA and UVB rays. And they are also BPA-free! I mean, kids get to know their surrounding by putting everything in their mouths, right?! So rest assured that Babiators are made without BPA, without phthalates, and without lead-based paint (each shipment gets tested).

We got a pair of Babiators for our review and the moment they came out of the box…of course a little-boys-fight erupted and there was yelling all over the apartment! But of course I asked for a photo shoot and they, surprisingly, agreed!

{Ketchup smeared faces where a must!}

A. loves his glasses but still refuses to wear them outside. Little steps I keep telling myself. Sooner or later he will be taking them all him when we go out and about!!

Our only problem is sharing the Babiators with his brother…and not touching the lenses…which are usually covered in sticky goo, and ketchup.

The Babiators (size 3+) fits A.’s face perfectly. Except for the nose, the glasses keep sliding down…but that is due to A.’s little button nose! But the glasses still manage to stay put!

{Asked him to look outside so…he looks so deep in thought}

The glasses are a bit too big for J.’s face…and button nose! But he still loves to wear the Babiators! It’s gotta be due to his older brother wearing them, you know?! Older brothers are always cool, right?!

Oh, my silly little boy!! This is what I get when I ask him to look a bit up so my reflection wouldn’t be seen on the photo!! Of course som ketchup was also smeared on this face…even some boogers. Boys will be boys!

Babiators are so cool that even T.D. had to join in on the fun and wear the Babiators himself!!

There’s no better way to protect your kids eyes than Babiators…besides, they will look oh, so cool!!

Tiddle E. Winks {Review/Giveaway}

I must confess: I never really coked a meal until I met Tyler! Yeah. My very first meal was spaghetti and, to be honest, it was pretty good. And while we are talking food, wanna know my favorite kitchen accessory? Aprons!! Specially super cute, ruffly, polka dotted ones like the one Tiddle E. Winks sent me!

{Isn’t it cute?!}

Miss Winks (aka Heidi) is the master mind behind Tiddle E. Winks, a store located in Sonoma, CA. I must say that I really want to set foot in her store! I fell in love with her store’s website and enjoyed my time surfing it…I can only imagine what it would be to be there in person.

Tiddle E. Winks, Vintage 5 & Dime, has so much to offer. Anything retro, she has it!! Like my apron!!

The very day the apron came in the mail I had to wear it…even after I had already made dinner and cleaned the kitchen. It is that cute! The apron is made from Made of good ol’ fashioned cotton and the color is so vibrant. The hem is all ruffly, flirty, and feminine. And it also has a pocket, which you can’t really see, but it is there!

The apron ties at the neck and the waist which I like a lot. Besides, what else is cuter and flirtier that bows?!

The apron goes great with anything, specially Christmas peppermint socks! Tee hee!! Great mix of patterns!

But aprons is not all that Tiddle E. Winks is about!! Miss Winks has such a great array of retro amazingness that it makes you travel back in time! These are some of my favorite items:

My boys’s favorite?

{Got Milk? Magic Milk Straws}

I truly love the idea of flavored straws! I will have to get some for the boys. And with Christmas fast approaching…wouldn’t they make the perfect stocking stuffer?! What kid, young and old, doesn’t like flavored milk?!

Lucky you guys! 6 of you will get the chance to try 2 different flavored milk straws!! So, what are you waiting for!! Keep reading!
